About Kathryn
Kathryn is proud to be an active senior who is moving forward in the adventures and challenges of her life. She is a recent widow after twenty-five years of marriage, she has three children, eight grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Her business, Alternative Care Services, has kept her busy for the past twenty-two years as a Dementia and Alzheimer’s Consultant, a private homecare caregiver, a therapeutic clown, and as a private educational trainer.
She wears many hats, but the hat she wears the proudest is the hat of a loving wife, a good mother, and her continuing love for God. Kathryn values her love of Jesus has a stronghold of her life. She is a sought after speaker, she loves to share stories of her childhood and life experiences and is excited to share in written form her many life adventures.
Kathryn continues to be an advocate for the homeless population, including the teenage homeless. She is also active in speaking out against child and elderly abuse, as well as, she is currently on a non-profit board for the past 5 years, which works against Human trafficking.
Alternative Care Services
Alternative Care Services is a Non-Medical Home Care Service. We provide companionship, light housekeeping, laundry assistance, light meal preparation, and transportation to local medical appointments, Daily Tell-A-Care phone checks and Respite Care. Kathryn uses her Social work background to assist in your care
Public Speaking
Our lives are precious. That is why we need to continue to take care of ourselves regardless of the struggles we’re facing. Kathryn is an author and public speaker dedicated to inspiring people by sharing her experiences. Her life stories focus on her life and taking care of her health, mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. She is a champion for taking care of herself, with God’s Help & Holy Word.
Healing Hearts Ministry
Kathryn is a Christian, grief coach, mentor, educator and group & individual support specialist facilitator. Kathryn provides a safe support system which will assist and comfort you in the midst of your grief, by using God’s comforting Holy Scriptures. Kathryn holds a degree in Hospice Administration, a Grief Specialist, a Death n Dying educator, a Death Midwife, and is also a recent Widow(s). This is a Chronicle of people I met and spoke with while my son was homeless. I have written this book for others to know that not all people of the street want to be there, however some have no choice. Flying a sign is not always an option, however, some have no other choice.
