Kathy Quinn, Kathy Normand, Kat McBee, Kathryn Quinn McBee, (my name, when you met me- during my life-years,) is proud senior moving forward in the challenges of her life. She is a widower of two husbands. She has three children, eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Her business, Alternative Care Services, has kept her busy for the past twenty-four years as a Dementia and Alzheimer’s Consultant, a private homecare caregiver, a therapeutic clown, and as a private educational and family trainer. Kathryn is currently limiting her services, at this time, as she herself is recovering from a chronic illness.
She wears many hats, the hat she is proudest of is the hat of a loving wife, a mother, and her continuing love for God. She values her love of Jesus has a stronghold of her life. She has a story of when she first learned of Jesus at age five. She shares her stories of her childhood abuse, molestation, rape, trafficked, and life experiences, and is excited to share in written form her life adventures. She is definitely a sought after speaker. She has many Topics to speak on.
There were fun times as well, on the front porch conversations-at “The Old Place”, spending time with my grandmother-she taught me herbalism-self-teaching-then educational training, the time we lived on a farm-self sufficient living, my children-wild horses, cats & dogs-pigs, chickens, cattle, turkeys, milk cows garden- lots of stories. Adventures in Louisiana- living on the bayou- in a house boat-Atchafalaya river basin-crayfish, fishing lines, snakes, the years in a tiny homestead in Montana- cold winters, gardening, canning, hunting- wild mustangs, many stories. Caregiver for her parents 4years, and caregiving for husband 18 months.
The times that God rescued me, my Near Death Experiences, during my life, Ghost stories, and strange things, etc. She loves to tell her stories.

She continues to be an advocate for the, humane treatment of all Animals and the marginalized population, cats, dogs, wild elephants, dolphin population, wild mustang horses in the USA, hunger in the USA, Rape & molested victims, domestic violence, the homeless population, including the teenage homeless. She is also active in speaking out against child abuse, elderly abuse & financial exploitation, advocate for children with disabilities being sexually abused.
Kathryn, is currently the Vice President of a non-profit board, for the past 6 years, Flutter, Inc. which provides ultra-sounds to developing countries- to save the unborn babies, ( many of the mothers are trafficked and will abort- if they do not see the fetus-by seeing their baby.
The other project that is the other arm of Flutter Inc. is- we teach educational seminars, provide safety protocol information to give to pregnancy center around the world, -which works to fight against Human Sex Trafficking- of children, women, & men in the USA and world wide. **The Future dream is to provide a safe place (HOME), for those that escape the sex trafficking trade, to have a place with wrap around services-to come to rebuild their lives. Alternative Care Services
Alternative Care Services is a Non-Medical Home Care Service. We provide companionship, light housekeeping, laundry assistance, light meal preparation, Daily Tell-A-Care phone checks and Respite Care. Kathryn uses her Social work background to assist in your care. Kathryn is currently helping clients with the above services on a very limited basis. As her health allows. Public Speaking
Our lives are precious. We need to continue to take care of ourselves regardless of the struggles or health issues we are facing. Kathryn is an author and public speaker dedicated to inspiring people by sharing her experiences. Her life stories focus on her life and taking care of her health, mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually, NO matter the diagnosis. Healing Hearts Ministry
Kathryn is a Christian, grief coach, mentor, educator and group & individual support specialist-facilitator. Her Book: Just Like Us
This is a Chronicle of people I met and interviewed, while looking for my son when he was homeless. I have written this book for others to know that not all people of the street want to be there. Many are trafficked, just down on their luck, living in their car no other place to go. Some have no choice. Flying a sign is the option available. How many of the homeless are just like you and I? Lose your job, One pay check for losing everything. No money for paying the rent, eating or a disaster strikes. You may end up on the street-you never know.
